It'll be interesting to compare this case with the strikingly similar case of Arthur Freeman in Australia. Freeman, who was plainly having mental difficulties at the time, threw his daughter Darcey off a bridge in Melbourne, killing her. That tragedy was immediately seized on by anti-father advocates to attempt to repeal amendments to the Family Law Act that promote equally shared parenting. The theory seemed to be that, because Arthur Freeman apparently was, all fathers are dangerous to their children.

I wonder if the Stott-Smith logic will be used in this country to argue against mothers having equal parenting arrangements with fathers. Why do I doubt it?

Freeman had equal rights to his children despite several allegations of abuse. The facts are not all in on this case so don't be counting anything just quite yet. What this woman did was incomprehensible and EXTREMELY wrong - I want to clarify my position on that before some raving loon FR/MRA says I am supporting her.

And while I am at it, I wonder why in all these posts about all these bad moms (oh and there are literally thousands of them if you listen to these loons) why do they never mention an FR going off unless it is to give sympathy?

It was JUST a few bruises and bitemarks.....

Oh please, she was not "beaten to a pulp". If she had been, she'd be in a coma or something, not showing bruises down the side of her face for a couple of weeks.

How sad that she can't even deal with a few bruises and bite marks by herself.

So Sonja, I guess a few bruises and bitemarks are completely acceptable? I mean that is what Rihanna gets for opening her mouth, having the ability to put thoughts together and speak her mind? Because we ALL know that women should not be allowed to do this unless they are second wives.....

In addition, we should also send letters to ABC about last nights "HOme Makeover". The mother of the family works with a domestic violence group since her daughter was killed by her boyfriend. So the team decides to raise awareness of DV and sets up a demonstration which included cutouts of people who had been killed by DV. There was 7-10 wooden cutouts with names on them, all women. So in all of Alabama there wasn't ONE victim of DV that was male?

We MUST make sure that no victim has a voice, no child is allowed to tell of trauma. Men must be allowed to return (RETURN?!?!?!!?!?!?) to their reigns of all-knowing and all-powerful. A man is the king and all others must follow HIM!!!

Oh puke gag, puke gag.........Mike, do a search for "Alabama domestic violence murder victim." The only time a male is mentioned in the first 10 pages is when he is the perp or he is a dv worker assisting the family of the murder victim. In all of those pages, there were no mentions made of a male murder victim through dv.

(Mike's crybaby response) But the media doesn't mention those men, they live in a dreamland where only women are victims.

(Petunia) Well Mike that could simply be because men are more violent than women and cause more damage. Men use guns, knnives, fists. When you read of the odd case of a woman who truly was commiting dv, it is an anomoly. Women are violent generally (you see I used the word generally not "all the time" here) in response to violence. They are being abused, their children are alleged to have been abused. Generally women do not "beat" a man if he does not "do" what she wants. Unless you call keeping HIS hands to HIMSELF doing what she wants.

Sad situation.

The injure-yourself theme is fairly common with women. Mostly to hurt a male, to make it look like "he" did it.

I have not heard about a male harming himself in order to frame a female as perpetrator.

Well Stan I can tell you from my years as an advocate and also as a former victim that yes men do hurt themselves, intentionally so they can get the women in trouble. My own abusive ex did this. I watched him and so did our children. In fact that is what saved me from sure jail time - one of the little buggers (sadly the one who when visiting dear ol dad gets the comments - dam I thought I divorced that beeyotch, but she comes back every other weekend). Ladies we have been challenged I believce. Has your ex ever hurt himself, or done something to make it appear he was the victim rather than you? You could have the nicest husband and kill him in cold blood and just say "domestic violence" and walk.

Yep, the courts pretty much give them a liscense to kill....

So IG explain to me then why a woman who was abused (numerous people testified about this and this was during the time when abuse was NOT recognized) was tried for a murder that she did not commit - her husband committed this murder - was found guilty and was thrown in jail for 29 years!!!! You know sweetie, I don't necessarily condone that sort of behavior, but I do respect the attention that f4j has brought to the fathers rights/family court issue.

Civil disobedience is a last resort and people like you are the cause by turning men into monsters, simply because you had a bad one. You know the old saying, "one bad apple spoils the whole bunch."

You know - first and foremost - someone who calls me "sweetie" and in the manner of which you did, automatically goes on moderation. You then go on to justify the F4J movement and the superheroes climbing on bridges, buildings and even private residences? You justify the F4J threats to kidnap Tony Blair's son? You justify countless men rebelling against court mandated support for children? You rebel against a woman's right to live free from ALL abuse?

Wow. The "Mother and Father" added to "Father Only" is still less than the "Mother Only." So, how do they figure it is usually the father who hurts or murders these children?

This study does not account for time spent by each abuser with the child. In mother abuse cases, the mother typically spends more time with the child. In father abuse cases this is not true. If we factor in the time spent by each perpetrator with the child and accounted for that in these figures, you would see the father abuse percentages skyrocket. Just simple math, not rocket science... Do you understand now?

Guess not you will still spout the tired old statistics, and all the supposed bad stories on men, the dead broke stories, the lies, the propaganda that MEN have created. So go back to your little commune.

Some of the comments while possibly an attempmt at humor are nonetheless so very true. Men who attempt to control their wives through the use of violence are then left windering why she then tires of the assaults and uses that information in her divorce of him. One poster on this site sums it up while humorously, in terms we can all understand:

Amen to Orlando for taking a Pro-Active approach to domestic violence. Years ago I was the victim of a violent stalker and there were no laws to protect. LE's hands were tied until a crime was committed. If this new technique can thwart even one assault, there is value. Prevention is a large part of the cure and it doesn't cost the taxpayers anything for the cops to ask questions.

And a note to the poster who believes women use Domestic Violence to prosper in divorce proceedings. B/S. Women use MEN to prosper in divorce proceedings. For some, that's what marriage is for. Don't like it; don't marry -- it's a fools' investment.

One can only hope that surrounding cities and counties in Florida will step up to the plate as OPD and Orlando has done.

Okay now I have to take offense at what the man himself is saying. In his own words (below) he basically says that verbal and mental abuse is not the same thing as dv. IT IS DV, whether it is accompanied by phsyical abuse or not. Read what the world-reknowned expert on dv, Lundy Bancroft (in Why Does He Do That? There are just no words for this

Here we have yet another instance of the abuses women must suffer. This is being passed around on various father's rights groups and touted as something that "should" happen if the woman cannot stop nagging. I am sorry there are just no words for this.

Okay enough fooling around, now it is serious time

Well the time has come folks and it is now time to get serious. Sadly I knew this day would come. Some people are like dogs. Give them a bone and they will never let go until the bone is in shreds, torn into tiny little slivers. This is now what is being done to Jennifer Collins, Holly Collins, Zachary Collins, and to Holly's minor child whose name I will not mention due to his age. His natural father (from what I have read) can only be classified in the questionable category. What type of father who claims to be interested in a child's best interest wants to root the child up from the only environment he has ever known and from his entire family? I will offer my own opinion on this and it is green and there are quite a few of them and they have pictures of dead presidents on them.

Amazingly we have yet to hear any denials from the now famous father of Jennifer and Zachary. No denials.... nothing.... One must wonder why this is? And of course we have the ever famous (maybe in his mind and the minds of his cult followers) man who has decided to make it his life's mission to rip this mother to shreds as a dog would a good bone. I will say one thing in this post before I get to the hard work. The children in question were 7 and 9 when the mother fled the US. This is old enough to form an opinion about something. To delude yourself into thinking that these children could not have possibly remembered themselves or their mother being abused is quite frankly - in a word - disgusting.

Now folks the posts you have been anxiously awaiting are on the way. This could very well be a several day project, so please be patient. He has pretended to engage in a full investigation of Holly's charges and claims, yet he only presents one side of the issues. I will now take all of his claims and using the Internet will show why his claims and how his claims can be proven false. Also be warned, this post will probably not provide the entertainment value of some of my previous posts. But then again, it just might. This is something I need to do. I feel as though I know Jennifer, although we have never met. I see my own daughter and sons in her eyes and in Zachary's eyes. I see myself in Holly's eyes. I only hope that things can start changing.

Holly, Jennifer, Zachary... this is for you. I can only hope I will do you justice and bring to light the truth. My prayer is that you Holly will see this and say yes yes yes over and over again, this is what I meant, this is what I was talking about. SHE gets it. Well I get it because I live it. So with that my sisters in this war, I salute you. Let's get on with this.

New Projects

My associates and I will be undertaking several new projects over the next few weeks. They will be revealed here as time permit. Although at this point, I do not care what the rabid FR/MRA types say or do. I am in the process of researching the second issue and seeing what the legalities of it would be. I doubt there would be any however. A sneak peek into the first project - I will be scouring the 'Net and finding all those stories of abuse by MEN. Those stories that the anger filled MRA/FRs say do NOT exist. Why do these stories not exist in their eyes? Well because they BELIEVE that women are more violent than men. They in fact have several blogs/sites which show all the abuses perpetrated by women, in a vain attempt to show just how violent women are. I intend to debunk that theory. Once I get the search terms dialed in, expect many stories of physical and sexual violence, and murders. I do not think I will have an issue finding these types of stories as you read them in the paper daily. The second project is under wraps at the moment and will be revealed at a later date. This project however, will have a direct impact on abused women and will help to protect us from those intending harm.
